FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Printwand™ Reaffirms Commitment to Eco-Friendly Practices
USA, Michigan, Keego Harbor, June 15, 2012

Printing and promotional product company Printwand™ announced today that they are registered as a member of the Michigan Business Pollution Prevention Partnership (MBP3). This is a voluntary program intended to encourage businesses to initiate and expand pollution prevention practices and provide recognition for those efforts.

"We are excited to be part of this unique program," said Printwand CEO Vladimir Gendelman. "As a Michigan Business Pollution Prevention Partner, we can increase our competitive edge while showing that good environmental practices make good business sense."

As one of the many businesses that participate in the MBP3, Printwand has renewed its ongoing commitment to eco-friendly business practices, including the use of soy and agriculturally-based inks, BPA-free and lead-free plastics, and energy-conserving lighting. The company offers many products that are recyclable, biodegradable or made from recycled materials.

Pollution prevention is based on the approach that it makes more sense to eliminate or reduce the generation of waste than to treat or dispose of it once it has been generated. The Michigan Business Pollution Prevention Partnership seeks to enhance business efforts to reduce air, water, hazardous, and non-hazardous waste discharges. This voluntary program was developed through a joint effort by business, industry, professional associations, and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Environment (MDNRE).

Printwand encourages other Michigan businesses interested in voluntary pollution prevention and reduction to become members of the MBP3. "Lasting change is only possible when we work together," says Gendelman. "If all of us do our part, our planet will be a much healthier place."
