Graphic Design Internship
This internship will help support the graphic needs of our Graphic Artists, Project managers, and Creative Director. As the Graphic Design Intern, you will gain working knowledge into the daily responsibilities of a graphic artist at an expanding, growing company, learning professional skills for the future.
We are looking for someone who will use their skills and experience to be part of a web start-up in a fun, fast paced environment. As the Graphic Design Intern you will gain practical experience as a designer on realistic web and print projects. You will receive feedback from experienced, full-time professionals in graphic design, editing and creative departments.
This internship is designed for college students who have completed classes in design, advertising, and marketing. We are looking for someone that is serious about building a strong portfolio and becoming a design professional. Our internships are catered towards the experience and education of our applicants along with what is currently happening in our business. There will be a variety of different projects and tasks that may include: creating print ready materials, presentations, promotions, logo design, icon design, web design, etc.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Work with others in order to understand company brands, and convey it ideas in a visual manner.
- Develop visually appealing projects that may include: presentations, print material design, icon and web design, etc.
- Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a timely manner
Requirements:
- A student with Graphic Design and/or Pre-Press experience emphasizing in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Web Design, and/or Printing. (Junior or Senior preferred)
- Strong creative graphic design skills with a high level of knowledge using design software like Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop CS 3, 4 or 5
- A team oriented, hard working individual, who likes to collaborate
- Avid internet user with strong computer skills
- Knowledge of internet marketing concepts
- Strong design skill with a keen attention to detail
- Basic HTML preferred
- Social Media and Blogging experience preferred
Details:
- This is an on location internship in Pontiac, Michigan
- Flexible hours (must be able to work a minimum of 30 hours per week)
- Casual work environment
